Dear Golfers,

Welcome on the new page PGA Polska (Professional Golfers´ Association of Poland).
We have come to conclusion, that our page: www.golf24.pl, for the practical and technical reasons should cease to exist. Not that our relationship and cooperation with Golf24 has ended. On the contrary, we are still partners and certainly, in the next season, you will be able to watch the tournaments of PGA Polska organized by Golf24.
PGA of Poland is member of Professional Golfers´ Association of Europe, organization of some 16 000 professionals from 36 countries, even such as Mexico, Brazil or South Africa (they chose Europe for high level of schooling).

The trade mark –PGA- is equally well known in the world as for example: Mercedes, Coca-Cola or McDonalds. Therefore, PGA of Poland by signing a contract with PGAs of Europe has undertaken an obligation to take care, promote and protect by law its name.
One of the aims of the new page is obviously a better communication with Golfers.
The page is bilingual, Polish – English, which will facilitate access to information for golfers from abroad who might wish to participate in professional and amateur tournaments in our country.
But, above all, the most important aim of our page www.pgapolska.com is efficiency in communicating between the members of PGA Polska.

It is already 5 years since I became the president of PGA of Poland. The world of golf in our country has changed radically. We have more golf facilities, we also have golf “stadiums” on world level. The newest example of golf stadium is Modry Las in Choszczno, a Gary Player signature where one should go and play. In Warsaw a new golf stadium designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. is being under construction.

Last season PGA European Tour has visited Poland 3 times (DHL Wroclaw Open, Parkridge Polish Senior Championship and Omega Mission Hills TC European Qualifier). During those three events the European media: TV, press and photographers, put Poland on the world golf map.

However, the main task for PGA of Poland is educating  the golf instructors.
Our aim being the ever growing numbers of Fully Qualified PGA Pros – naturally “made in Poland”. It is surely they who raise the standard of the game of amateurs and also take care of the beginners who are assured the proper learning from highly professional specialists with PGA diplomas.

I am sure and certain that in the nearest future we will educate professional players who will be able to compete in top European tournaments.
The Western golf “boom” is suddenly knocking on our door. We have to be prepared for it and do our utmost so that golf in Poland will become more popular and less elitist.
Slowly the summer is over and the winter season is in. I only wish that you, dear Golfers, will keep on practicing with your PGA instructors, so that in spring
you might be proud of your efforts and have pleasure of your game.
As we all know, the handicap is not a punishment but help in conquering the adversary. And the one and only adversary the golfers have – is the golf course.
